Schools in areas of Attica that still have problems with bad weather. People’s markets will be open in all municipalities.

The Regional Governor of Attica, G. Patoulis, after consultation with the 66 municipalities of Attica, EMY forecasts and related information from the meteorologists of Th. Defense and Education has decided to remain closed tomorrow for primary and secondary education schools in areas that are still facing problems due to bad weather. As regards the opening hours of kindergartens and school attendance times, the competent municipalities will make relevant announcements.

Details on how Primary and Secondary Schools will operate in all Regional Units (RU) of Attica:

PE EAST ATTICA

Closed in municipalities:

  • Oropu
  • Dionysus
  • Acharnon
  • pallini

In the municipality of Marathon: will be closed in Varnava-Grammatiko and will be opened in Marathon-N. Macri

Open to municipalities:

  • Rafina – Pikermiou
  • Peania
  • Spaton – Artemis
  • Lavreotikis
  • Saronic
  • Municipality of Kropias (Everything is open. Only the special school of the municipality of Kropias is closed)
  • Markopoulou

The governor of the region G. Patulis warmly thanked the mayors, deputy governors of the regions and all officials of the region and municipalities. It should be noted that public markets will be open throughout Attica.

The regional governor of Attica, G. Patoulis, points out in this regard: “The decision to work or abandon schools is made on the basis of an assessment of the data we have, both from municipal authorities and at the level of meteorological assessments. Our absolute priority is the safety of students, their parents and teaching staff. Deputy akims of settlements, deputy akims for civil defense, finance and education, and all our leaders are constantly mobilized to resolve any issues that arise.”
