Several problems were caused by heavy snowfall in Lesvos, mainly in the west of the island.

In particular, problems were identified in the road network in the Agra-Skalochori region and the Lepetimnos mountain range. The workshops of the West Lesbos municipality with cars and salt shakers kept the road network running while the heavy snow continued.

The brigades of the municipality of Mytilini dealt with the situation in the suburbs of the city, where snow fell, in Pagani, Ano Halikas and the houses above them.

Under the responsibility of the Regional Branch of Chios, the vehicles worked on the road network of Chios, in particular on the Karies – Avgonima section and after the 18th km from Aypos to Katavasi, as well as on the Kardamila – Amades section. The goal is to keep the island’s roads open.
