
Club 21 firefighters from the 1st EMAK with two rescue dogs and a special rescue vehicle will leave in the next few hours as an aid mission to Turkey, which there was a strong earthquake.
By order of the Prime Minister Kyriakou MitsotakisGreece immediately responded to Turkey’s request to send aid to deal with the devastating consequences of a powerful earthquake of magnitude 7.8 that struck early on the morning of February 6 in southeastern Turkey and Syria.
The team will be accompanied by a Fire Engineer Officer with experience supporting columns in the ruins of collapsed buildings, 5 doctors and rescuers from EKAV, as well as the President of OASP, Efthymyos Lekkas.
The mission will depart by C-130 aircraft from Elefsina Airport.
