A new video released by the Ukrainian military shows them destroying a Russian howitzer that Vladimir Putin’s troops were trying to hide under a pile of trash and branches.
The Ukrainian armed forces report that the strike took place in the city of Donetsk, the capital of the region of the same name in eastern Ukraine.

Although the city is not on the front lines, pro-Russian separatists here were blamed in mid-December for the heaviest shelling of the city since 2014, when they launched a separatist war in eastern Ukraine following Moscow’s illegal annexation of Crimea.
However, it is unclear to what extent these statements are part of an information war waged by Moscow, or the result of a real attack by Ukrainian forces.
As for the video that is now appearing on social networks, why Russian soldiers used such unconventional “camouflage” for their combat vehicle is also unclear, one possibility is that it was hastily abandoned to be recovered later, and the materials , about which were the only ones at hand.
The problems of the Russian military with the availability of military camouflage became evident from the first days of the invasion launched by Vladimir Putin.
A video that surfaced on social media late last month appears to show that these flaws have not been addressed, showing how Russian soldiers were forced to mask the makeshift bunker with all sorts of materials released during aerial overflights of the position.
The recording, however, records a new shot that is impressive in its accuracy, since it is possible that the Ukrainian gunners again used the Excalibur projectiles known in this section.
Last week, the Ukrainian military used one of these shells to destroy the Tor air defense system, which was dropped by Russian troops from the Arctic and which was highly praised by the official Russian military television.
