Rescue teams have completed the evacuation of 58 people who were stranded in Kabara Kapra in Transfegareshan following an avalanche, the Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU) Arjesh said.

“Arriving at the location, the intervention forces identified 57 tourists. For safe evacuation, they were divided into two groups. The first group, consisting of 17 people, is already being transported by minibus to the municipality of Pitesti. , and the second group, consisting of 41 people (40 tourists and an employee of the accommodation block) safely arrived at another block in the area,” ISU Argeş representatives reported.

The Argesh Prefect Institute announced that 14 of the 15 staff members who were there at the time of the avalanche are still at Cabana Capra.

The police announced that they will check how the tourists arrived at the closed section of the road at Cabana Capra on Transfăgărăşan.
