Two men and two children, accompanied by a dog, got stuck in more than one meter of snow with a properly equipped car on an impassable forest road in winter near Poart Raiului, in the mountains of Sebešului, from where they were evacuated and transported to the scene by gendarmes from the Shugag mountain station, reports Agerpres.
“Two 11-year-old children, together with their parents and a dog, who got stuck in the snow, were transported by snowmobile by the mountain gendarmes from Alba,” said the inspection of the gendarmerie of the district of Alba (IJJ).
A car with two men aged 33 and 40 and two minors, all from Kuhir, remained covered in snow near the Gate of Heaven.
- “The four wanted to spend the weekend in the Shureanu ski resort area, but got stuck in the snow on a forest road that is impassable at this time of year. More than a meter of snow had fallen in the area, and although the car they were traveling in was properly equipped, they could not go any further.
- They called for help on the phone, and about 30 minutes later they were picked up by mountain gendarmes from the Shugag mountain post and transported one by one on snowmobiles among the Trojans to an ambulance,” said IJ Alba.
Later they were taken to their place of residence.
“None of the participants required medical assistance,” the cited source also noted.
