The influence of the head of the “Wagner” PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin would decrease, this would also be the reason why he would purchase weapons from North Korea, reports independent researcher Chris Owen with reference to the Russian Cheka-OGPU Telegram channel.

On January 12, the Kremlin announced the “absolutely heroic selfless actions” of the soldiers in Soledar. On January 13, the Ministry of Defense of Russia explained the victory to its Airborne Forces, missile forces and “artillery of the Russian army group”.

Prigozhin said that Russian officials did not give his forces the proper credit.

“They constantly try to steal the victory from Wagner’s PMC and talk about the presence of other unknowns just to belittle Wagner’s merits,” he complained.

The Ministry of Defense responded a few hours later with a new statement “to clarify” the situation, admitting that it was Wagner’s fighters who stormed the city, whose actions it called “courageous and selfless.”

However, the fact remains: the Russian Ministry of Defense actually tried to downplay Wagner’s role in the war in Ukraine.

The Russian Ministry of Defense respects Wagner’s mercenary group and is trying to disband it

The cited source also told the Telegram channel that Wagner PMC and mercenary group head Yevgeny Prigozhin are at a disadvantage, and the Russian Ministry of Defense asserts its supremacy by controlling supplies destined for the group, which would also explain where Wagner would try to get supplies from North Korea.

A source told the Cheka-OGPU that “the flow of people to private military companies has dried up, and PMKs depend on the army to provide them. Prigogine and Wagner were simply used [pentru a captura] Soledad”.

“He was tricked like a donkey with a carrot: take it, and immediately everything will be different. But in the end [spun] “Thanks guys, now get in line and wait.” And Prigozhin has no arguments for this, except informational ones.”

“Now the Ministry of Defense is trying to make the “Wagner” PMC. [doar una] many units, erase it in a gray mass.

On January 26, the United States officially recognized Wagner’s military company as a transnational criminal organization, freezing its American assets as a result of its actions in helping the Russian military in the war in Ukraine.

In December, the White House said Wagner’s group had received a shipment of weapons from North Korea to help bolster Russian forces in Ukraine, in a sign of the group’s expanding role in the conflict.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Korea called the report baseless and condemned the United States for supplying Ukraine with lethal weapons. Last month, Wagner founder Yevgeny Prigozhin denied receiving weapons from North Korea and described the reports as “rumors and speculation.”

The U.S. government also released images from Nov. 18 that it said showed Russian railcars traveling between Russia and North Korea.

Prigozhin tried to show that he dominates, but failed

Until recently, it seemed that there was Wagner, and somewhere behind the groups of the Ministry of Defense, other volunteers, Rosgvardiya, etc., and now in the foreground is the Ministry of Defense, which has many people from his payment information, including Wagner.

Prigozhin tried to demonstrate his power and dominance when he publicly told former Donbas separatist commander Ihor Girkin (nicknamed Strelkov) to join his forces in Ukraine because “it’s time to move from words to action.”

  • What can actually be hidden behind the “olive branch” that Wagner’s mercenaries extended to Igor Girkin

According to a source in the Cheka-OGPU, Prigozhin planned to lure Girkin to Wagner and thereby show the public who is the boss here.

“Ghirkin was allegedly put in a bag on his head and brought to shoot a video where he introduced himself as a Wagner volunteer.

“Wagner’s security service prepared dossiers on a number of individuals, including journalists and military experts, who allegedly criticized the group.”

“Prygozhin wants to make a video with them, in which they tell that they have become volunteers of the PMC and sign the relevant documents.”

In the end, nothing happened.

“Wagner” fighters were recruited from prison and returned home, monitored, but the police ordered to treat them “well”

Wagner soldiers who fulfilled their contract in the war in Ukraine and returned to civilian life will be put under secret surveillance.

Thus, the Russian Cheka-OGPU Telegram channel, citing a source, writes that the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia issued an unspoken order to the police regarding the convicted Wagner militants, who completed the contract and returned to civilian life.

Despite the fact that the convicts were pardoned, the Cheka-OGPU reports that “the ground personnel in all regions are actively enforcing instructions to covertly monitor them and prohibit any actions that may cause conflict.” They are apparently “kind” to Wagner’s soldiers who have returned from the war.

Police officers are prohibited from taking ex-convicts to police stations, taking their fingerprints and taking pictures.

“Exceptions are only one hundred percent cases [demonstrabile]: when there is no doubt about the commission of a crime by former combatants, when there is a specific report from citizens about former detainees, or when there is a high probability of criminal prosecution.

“As for the monitoring, the management insisted that it be secret and that the ex-prisoners do not even know about it. It is recommended to get operational information from agents, neighbors and teachers (if the people under supervision have children).

“Actual inspections should be carried out only in the form of visits and offers of help with documents, employment, etc.”
