In particular, the following premises will be open: Hostel for the homeless (Andreu Gheorghiu 5, ex. 13, tel. 2310 528811), from 17:00 to 09:00 the next day and the Open Door Center for the homeless (Monastiriou 62, tel. 6937 690432), around the clock.
During the emergency, the Vice Mayor for Social Policy, with the assistance of the City Police Department, will distribute blankets, sleeping bags and water.
At the same time, in order to protect vulnerable groups, three branches of KAPI will remain open from 9.00 to 20.00: the 4th one at Grigoriou Lambrakis, 42 (2310 212002), the 5th at Alexandrias, 27 (2310 820110) and 10- th. in Shakturi 1 (2310 234352).
In the event of frost or snowfall, the independent Department of Civil Protection has distributed de-icing salt to four hospitals located within the boundaries of Thessaloniki Municipality and to the 424th General Military Hospital, and on Monday it will also be distributed to churches, KAPI, schools, etc.
