During an interview with the Russian press, Sergey Lavrov said that President Maia Sandu was elected by “less democratic methods” and that the West will prepare Ukraine’s scenario for the Republic of Moldova.

Vice Prime Minister Niku Popescu emphasized that the rhetoric of his Russian colleague does not correspond to reality, as President Maia Sandu has a mandate from citizens to integrate the Republic of Moldova into the European Union.
