
A 58-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday afternoon (1/1) in Victoria Square after using information and targeted searches by police officers of the Investigation Department of the Attica Security Directorate, a 58-year-old man who was prosecuted for six convictions with a total sentenced to eight years in prison, 12 years in prison and 268 months and a fine of 46,000 euros for misappropriation of an object of especially high value, failure to pay debts to the state, failure to return tax withheld, violation of legislation on inspections and late payment of employer contributions.
In particular, a 58-year-old man, as president and managing director of an anonymous commercial company, did not pay the Greek state debts arising from certified tax, insurance and employer contributions.
In addition, he appropriated blocks of bank checks from an individual and issued checks in the name of third parties, receiving a financial benefit of at least 90,000 euros.
The detainee was taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
