Having reached its fifth edition, the project “Masters of the future will work with a 3D printer” this year is expanding with 10 new 3D printing centers 3DUTECH in Bucharest, Moinesti (Bakeu), Ajud (Vranca), Alexandria (Teleorman), Drobeta-Turnu Severin (Mehedinci), Regin (Mureş), Baia Spriet (Maramureş), Sfantu Gheorghe (Covasna), Cernavode (Constanța) and Brenesht (Ilfov).

On the initiative of the organizers 3D printing technician received positive approval for inclusion in the Classification of Occupations of Romania (COR).

He is behind the initiative to support young people in acquiring 3D printing and robotics skills ECDL Romania andDedeman, With Oh (Association of Romanian Business People), according to Ministry of Education. The initiative is aimed at creating a strong base of skills and theoretical and practical knowledge for young people, which will ensure the development of education in order to better prepare them for the new labor market.

“Masters of the future will work on a 3D printer” to continue in 2023 the efforts for students’ and teachers’ access to real digital skills, contributing to the technological transformation in Romanian schools and supporting the jobs of the future.

Through the promotion “3DUTECH. Shape the future. Print it 3D!”, several schools in Romania become 3D printing centers every year. In each edition, 10 schools in the country are equipped with high-performance 3D printersat least 20 teachers and 200 students be able to obtain the internationally recognized ECDL 3D Printing certificate for free.

Moreover, in this year’s edition, they will also have a sequel 3DTECH national 3D design and printing competitions for high school students and teacherswhich encourages a spirit of competition and the creation of a large community of practitioners in the field of 3D printing, this time adding a robotics component.

So far they are involved 50 high schools that have been converted into 3D printing centersnational, technical and technological college named after 34 counties of Romania, with hundreds of teachers and students going through the project. This year, high schools from previous releases will also receive robots, and teachers and new groups of students from these high schools will also be able to receive certificates in the ECDL Robotics module.

First editions “Masters of the future will work on a 3D printer” showed that both teachers and students show great interest in basic skills in the field of 3D printing technologies and their evolution. A study on the impact of 3D printing technology, conducted by ECDL Romania with the support of the Ministry of Education, showed that among students, 90.64% were interested in learning more about 3D printingconsidering such a course useful, and among teachers, 94.49% would be interested in learning more about 3D printing and would suggest or agree to implement such a possibility.

Meanwhile, on the initiative of 3DUTECH a national selection for high school By the Ministry of Education, teachers can receive transferable professional loans for ECDL 3D Printing certification, and more recently profession 3D printing technician” was approved by the Ministry of Labor for inclusion in COR. The program aims to update qualifications to keep up with the realities of the labor market, which is deeply affected by technological transformations.
