An 84-year-old man accused of beating his 53-year-old daughter-in-law outside his downtown store on Tuesday has been sentenced until Friday. She sued him, alleging that during the quarrel he tore her jacket and tore out her hair.

According to ERT, the incident occurred on Tuesday morning (31/1) on Dimitriados Street, in front of passers-by and customers of a nearby bank. The old man and his daughter-in-law are reportedly having financial disagreements. The father-in-law, although he distributed property to his children in the store where his business was located, promised to give it to his daughter-in-law when she retires.

But this did not happen, and yesterday’s bride, with the permission of her husband, was waiting for her father-in-law at the store at 8.30 in the morning. and asked him for the keys. He got angry, and at first they had a verbal altercation, and then the man allegedly attacked her.

An elderly man was arrested following a lawsuit filed by his daughter-in-law who did not appear in court, and an 84-year-old man told the prosecutor that he did not live with his children, but alone, taking care of himself.
