Janis Hagi overcame an injury that kept him out for a year by returning to the field in the second half of a game won by Rangers.
Rangers – str. Johnston 2-0, Janis Hagi on the field
The Romanian midfielder was introduced by coach Michael Beale in the 72nd minute of the game and was shown a yellow card seven minutes later, but resisted brilliantly for the rest of the game.
Rangers had it easy from the first half. Tavanier opened the scoring in the 13th minute from the penalty spot and the visitors were ten up in the 36th minute after Clarke was sent off.
Kamara’s goal (2:0) in the 58th minute relaxed the hosts, and Beal allowed himself to introduce Hagi.
Ioannis Hagi last played on 21 January 2022 against Stirling when he left the field injured after just 14 minutes.
