The United States has created an institute to monitor and investigate possible fraud and corrupt practices that can divert the support of the American people in Ukraine, the Ukrainian press writes.
On January 18, the document “Strategic Oversight Plan for Assistance to Ukraine” appeared on the website of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The document reminds that the US Congress allocated more than 113 billion dollars in aid to support Ukraine, which is carried out through 11 government agencies and institutions.
The text states that in planning oversight, the United States seeks to “identify areas of greatest risk of fraud, waste, or abuse.”
For this purpose, an Interdepartmental Working Group was created, consisting of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, the State Department and USAID, as well as other government officials, writes Pravda.ua.
