France – Sweden 31-26, in the semi-finals of the World Cup in men’s handball

There were two halves dominated by France, who led 16-12 at halftime. Sweden came within just two goals in the second half, but the French pulled away and made up the difference.

In the other semi-final, reigning trophy holders Denmark beat Spain 26-23.
