The bad weather that continues on the island of Rhodes has already caused problems, mainly in terms of falling trees and branches on the road network and short-term power outages.

Since Thursday evening, the island has been tested, like the rest of the Dodecanese, as strong winds, the strength of which reaches even 10 points on the Beaufort scale, canceled all planned routes for ships and aircraft.

Kindergartens, kindergartens, elementary schools, middle schools and high schools remain closed as of today in accordance with decisions taken yesterday at noon by the mayors of all islands.

The Rhodes fire department has already received several requests to remove branches and trees “broken” by bad weather.

Short-term power outages are also recorded from Thursday night, and today Friday from early morning. This morning in Archangelos in particular, these holidays created a challenge for students and teachers who were preparing to participate in planned online courses.

It has already begun to rain in the villages on the western side of the island, and for this reason, those who need to travel in their own transport should be especially careful.
