The President of the PSD National Council, Vasile Dinku, requested on Friday to extend the deadlines for the presentation of laws on education in the coalition and the government. Dynku says that the bills “need to be seriously revised”. In response, the PNL refuses with the voice of a spokesman saying that the education laws will follow their course set in the Coalition.
PSD National Council President Vasile Dinka asked PSD President Marcel Čolaka to extend the deadlines for presenting education laws in the coalition and in the government, edupedu.ro reports. “Since we are talking about the future of Romania, I don’t think we can approach these laws in a politicized or superficial way,” states PSD senator Vasile Dincu.
PNL responds to Vasile Dink and says that “there is a consensus in the coalition and a firmly defined calendar”.
“The calendar of laws on education was agreed upon in the coalition and remains unchanged. We do not understand Mr. Vasile Dink’s statements, especially because they do not agree with what the PSD assumes in this situation. The only thing that is clear is that the education laws will follow the course that we have set. They will go to inter-ministerial approval in the Government for approval after consulting experts of the parties included in the coalition, and then go to the Parliament for discussion and voting. Perhaps Mr. Dinku was not informed. We dont know. There is no doubt that there is consensus and a calendar that is firmly in place in the coalition on education legislation,” Straw said.
It will be recalled that on January 10, the PSD, PNL and UDMR coalition decided that party experts should cooperate with the Ministry of Education, so that by February 15 draft laws on education would be adopted by the Government, and the Parliament could vote. them by March 15.
