Due to traffic on Wednesday evening (25.01) in the area of ​​Agios Dimitrios, a 46-year-old man was arrested by the police of the DIAS group on charges of shoplifting.

In particular, according to ELAS, shortly before the arrest, a 46-year-old man entered a hairdresser in the Agios Dimitrios area, after breaking the glass. The accused took the amount of money and jewelry and immediately fled. The DIAS police officers who arrived at the scene found him after searches, while he was found and confiscated a sum of money and stolen property.

It is noted that near the place of detention, police officers found in a trash can a helmet, a crowbar, a hat and a wig, which, as established by the preliminary investigation of the Agios Dimitrios Security Department, were used to commit the crime. theft.

In total, five cases were solved in shops in the Agios Dimitrios area and one bike theft case.

The detainee has been taken to the competent prosecutor’s office, and the police investigation is ongoing.
