ANAF checks the OMV for solidarity tax and does not know if the company has to pay it. The situation is absurd, given that the Ministry of Finance issued an order, and the same institution does not know how to interpret it.

The Tax Office is waiting for clarifications that the Ministry of Finance will receive from the European Commission.

“ANAF has not made any report on the inspections carried out in OMV because we are waiting for clarification from the Commission as a result of the letter sent by the Ministry of Finance to clarify how the regulation will be applied. Only then will we complete this review and be able to say whether OMV complies with the terms of Decree 186,” ANAF’s position reads.

Checks are ongoing.

As a reminder, OMV Petrom announced that it will not pay solidarity tax because it is not suitable, having less than 75% of turnover from the defined sectors: crude oil production, natural gas production, oil production and production of derived products. from oil refining.
