
A 24-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman were arrested in the area of Agia Varvara by officers of the Anti-Narcotics Sub-Directorate of the Attic Security on charges of drug possession and trafficking, violation of weapons laws, and violence against officials and judges.
According to ELAS, in the context of actions to apprehend drug traffickers and after investigating information about the two defendants relating to drug trafficking in the wider area of Attica, their criminal activities were identified and confirmed.
During a drug operation, the two men were arrested for possession of some raw cannabis for the purpose of trafficking. It is noted that the man resisted during the check in order to avoid arrest.
During a search conducted in the houses where the 24-year-old and 42-year-old lived, as well as in a warehouse in the Agia Varvara area, were found and seized, including: Cocaine weighing 52 grams, raw cannabis (skunk) 4 kg and 778 grams , raw cannabis 3 kg and 704 grams, an air pistol, an air submachine gun, a stun gun, an iron fist, handcuffs and 2 closed loop recorders.
At the same time, as part of the ELAS investigation, a 29-year-old man was identified and a criminal case was initiated against him for violating the law on addictive substances and on weapons.
The two arrested were taken to the Athenian Prosecutor’s Office for Criminal Cases.
