
The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has extended a code yellow warning for heavy rain and snow, blizzard and gusty winds in 22 districts till Sunday morning.
In addition, a heavy snow and blizzard code orange will be in effect until Sunday at 10:00 a.m. targeting the counties of Vranca, Buzeu and the mountainous areas of the counties of Prahova, Dambovitsa and Arges. In these areas, abundant snow will fall (35 – 50 l/m2) and a dense layer of snow will fall. The wind will increase to a total of 55-65 km/h, there will be blizzards and low visibility in places.
According to meteorologists, from 10:00 a.m. on January 27 to 10:00 a.m. on January 29, a yellow code for bad weather will be in effect in Dobrudja, Muntenia, the Southern Carpathians and locally in Moldova, southeastern Transylvania, and the Eastern Carpathians. there will be quantitatively significant precipitation, in total 25-40 l/m2 will accumulate.

It will also snow in the southeast of Transylvania, as well as in the low-relief areas of Muntenia and Moldova, first precipitation in the form of snow, sleet and rain, then snow will gradually prevail and a layer of snow will be deposited.
In Dobrudja during the day of Friday it will mainly rain, which will turn into sleet and snow during the night from Friday to Saturday. Winds with a speed of 45-55 km/h and snowfall will also increase temporarily in these areas.
In addition, snow will continue to fall in the Southern Carpathians and locally in the Eastern Carpathians, a dense layer of snow will fall, and in some places blizzards (gusts of 50-70 km/h) and low visibility. .
ANM clarifies that there will still be snow locally and temporarily in Oltenia and the rest of Transylvania.
