In fact, for the five-year period 2016-2020. publications of Greek organizations in open access received 428,635 citations, with a steady upward trend in recent years, and their share in the total number of citations of publications of Greek organizations was 60.61. %. At the same time, the impact index of open access publications of Greek institutions (the average number of citations per publication) has been constantly increasing throughout the period 2006-2020.
