The students of the department passed the exams with the flashlights of mobile phones turned on. Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Athensas there was a power outage due to severe bad weather, which has been reigning in Attica since the morning.

In conversation with “K”, president of the NTUA Mechanical Students Association, Jason Panosconfirms a power outage during a student’s exam.

“During the exam, the sophomores lost power, but the decision to postpone the exam has not been made. We spoke with the dean so that we could repeat the exam for the course. The meeting with him is scheduled for tomorrow. There was also a power outage in this particular hall last week,” he said.

According to “K”, the exam in the neighboring building, where the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering is located, scheduled for 12 o’clock today, was finally canceled by the decision of the dean’s office.

The decision was also announced on the Department Announcement page and a new exam date for the course was set.

It is noted that in the morning, when there is a wave of bad weather which swept the whole country, caused a number of problems such as road flooding, traffic disruption, property damage, while public transport was also affected, especially ISAP.

Night schools in Attica closed

The authorities made recommendations to limit movement while schools were closed during the day and at night.
