
The new vaccine against COVID-19, adapted to the Omicron variant, will be available from Friday, February 27, also for people who want to be vaccinated for the first time – doses 1 and 2 (initial schedule) – not only as a dose reminder, reports Ministry of Health
Until now, this type of vaccine has only been given as a booster dose (3 and 4) to people who have previously received a primary vaccination against COVID-19.
COMIRNATY ORIGINAL / OMICRON BA.4-5-Pfizer BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine is adapted to provide broader protection against the parent strain and the Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants. This provides protection especially against complications and severe forms of the disease.
The new COVID-19 vaccine can be obtained from family doctors or vaccination centers. The list of vaccination centers is available on the website of the Ministry of Health:
