Today, Tuesday, the third fan-organized murder trial continues. against 19-year-old Alkis Campanos and two of his friendsbefore the Mixed Jury in Thessaloniki.

Today, the interrogation of a total of 26 witnesses for the prosecution begins, primarily one of two friends of Alkis, who was present in the bloody episode in the early morning of February 1, 2022 in the Kharilau region and is considered among the victims.

At yesterday’s court session, jurors were drawn up, the indictment was read out, and the first statement of 12 defendants and the formulation of positions and demands by lawyers, both civil and defense, took place.

None of the 12 confessed to what the indictment charges them with. Their main claim was that none of them hit Alkis or even touched him, and that they were only present during the bloody episode.

They take the same position with regard to the accusations related to the injuries of two young friends of a 19-year-old boy, and only one of the defendants admits that he hit one of them. In their statements, everyone expressed regret over the fatal incident, and some offered their condolences to the family of the 19-year-old.
