Microsoft announces that it will soon stop direct sales of the Windows 10 operating system. Windows 10 will take the first step towards becoming obsolete on January 31, when it will no longer be available for download and purchase from the official Microsoft website.
In addition to the press release announcing that Home and Pro editions of Windows 10 will no longer be available for purchase on the company’s website, Microsoft is urging users to upgrade to Windows 11.
On the other hand, it is Microsoft that has imposed strict conditions on the installation of Windows 11 in order to force users to buy new PCs if they want to use this operating system.
Official support for Windows 10 will last until October 2025. Windows 10, launched in 2015, is scheduled to be discontinued after 10 years.
Despite the numerous shortcomings of the updates, Windows 10 had an overall good image. It’s also because it came after Windows 8, one of the versions that users really hated.
