
An intensive investigation carried out by the Police of the Property Crime Unit in cooperation with their counterparts from the Crime Against Life Unit of the Security Directorate of Thessaloniki revealed traces of persons involved in the armed robberies in the Analipsi and Toumba areas.
These are four men, two Greeks and two foreigners, aged 37 and 24 years and 29 and 38 years respectively, against whom a criminal case has been opened for robberies committed by prior agreement and by agreement, as well as for violation of the Law on Weapons.
In particular, the aforementioned, acting jointly, in October 2021:
- carried out two cases of robbery with a weapon and a knife against two food vendors in the Toumba district, from whom they took the amount of 340 euros and
- in the same way they carried out an armed robbery at a petrol station in the same area, from which they stole 659 euros.
In addition, in November 2021, at gunpoint, a 37-year-old man withdrew the amount of 754 euros from two mini-markets in the Tumba and Analipsi districts.
Following an organized operation carried out on January 20, 2023, a 24-year-old man was located and arrested on the basis of a warrant from the investigator and taken to the Thessaloniki General Detention Center, where he is temporarily detained.
It is noted that the 37-year-old and the 29-year-old were arrested in November 2021 in a murder case that took place in a convenience store in the Toumba area.
The search to identify and detain the 38-year-old man continues.
