The musician, however, did not sit idle, as soon after leaving the Byrds he formed a supergroup Crosby, Stills and Nash which, as their name suggests, consisted of David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash. One of their first appearances was in the legendary woodstock 1969.

He later also joined the scheme Neil Young and just like that they were renamed to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Before the constant bickering led to the band’s breakup, they had success with records such as “Deja Vu” from 1970 in which Crosby wrote in addition to the title track and “Almost cut my hair.”

David Crosby’s first solo record was “If only I could remember my name” from 1971 was active in the 80s and 90s and his last album was “For free” who released it 2021.

David Crosby, like Jeff Beck, who also recently died, twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the founders of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
