
On Friday, the Russians attacked eight of Ukraine’s 24 regions, killing five civilians and injuring 13 people, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko said, Kyiv Independent reports.
Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Sumy and Kherson regions were under attack.
In the last day, as a result of Russian attacks, five civilians were killed and another 13 were injured, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko said.
In the Donetsk region, three people were killed and four were injured, reported the governor of the region, Pavlo Kyrylenko.
Russia bombed residential buildings in Kurakhovo, Bakhmut, New York, as well as in Lyman and Drobyshev.
According to Kyrilenko, Russian troops also fired two rockets at the town of Kostyantynivka, destroying a kindergarten and a college.
According to the governor of the Zaporizhia region, Oleksandr Starukh, over the past day, Russian shelling hit 21 settlements in the region, destroying 18 buildings.
A woman died in the city of Gulyaipole, Starukh reported.
A cinema also caught fire in the city of Orikhove after a Russian bombardment, the governor added. Two people were injured there.
In the Kharkiv region, Russian troops fired artillery, tanks and mortars at the settlements of Vovchansk, Kupyansk, Strilecha, Vilcha and Ohirtseve, Governor Oleg Synegubov said.
The city of Vovchansk was the most affected, Sinegubov said, adding that a 60-year-old woman died there.
A 45-year-old woman and a seven-year-old child were injured in Vovchansk, Sinegubov said.
Also, during the past day, Russian troops shelled the Kherson region 36 times with artillery, rocket launchers and mortars, Governor Yaroslav Yanushevich said.
Four people were injured in the Kherson region. Among them are 16- and 15-year-old teenagers, Janusevici said.
According to Yanushevich, on January 20, the liberated city of Kherson was bombed 11 times. Houses were damaged there.
In the Luhansk region, intense fighting between Russian and Ukrainian troops is taking place near Kreminnaya, as Ukraine tries to liberate the Russian-occupied city, the General Staff of Ukraine reports.
