The anti-aircraft complex “Pantisr” is one of the most modern means in the arsenal of the Russian army

Anti-aircraft complex “Pantsir” is one of the most modern types of weapons in the arsenal of the Russian armed forces, a mobile, wheeled, autonomous complex with its own radar, which is based on both powerful guns and missiles for intercepting air targets.

The Pantsir system’s main surface-to-air missiles have an average range of 20-40 kilometers, but there are more advanced systems, such as the Pantyr missile defense system, which can hit targets at a distance of up to 75 kilometers.

The Pantir system was developed to protect military, industrial or administrative facilities from air attacks using high-precision munitions.

Most of the Panther systems entered service with the Russian military between 2008 and 2013, and new models began to be developed in 2019. They are one of the most modern types of weapons in the Russian military arsenal.
