“I have not heard any decisive factor from either the PSD or the PNL that raises certain questions about the political agreement that created this coalition, which includes not only the PSD and the PNL, but also the UDMR and the minorities. This exchange of prime ministers will take place. It is May 23 or 25. I assume that at the beginning of May we will prepare a government program and start all the legal and constitutional procedures for this ring road,” Marcel Čolaku said on RTV Monday night.

He also said that early elections are the solution if the political agreement between the ruling parties is not respected.

“Mr. Prime Minister Nikolae Chuke is a man of honor. He is a military man and a general, and I firmly believe that there are no problems. According to the Constitution, the power to appoint the Prime Minister belongs to the President of Romania. If you don’t want to, although I’m not a big fan of early elections, I think this will be the direction. It would be a shame because this coalition, through the entry of the PSD, apart from the fact that it brought coherence to the government, also brought political stability and peace to all decision-making factors in the Romanian state at a very critical moment and I do not doubt what I say – after a two-year right-wing government, the PSD leader also explained.
