Ana Bohdan’s course (63 WTA) at the Australian Open 2023 ended in the inaugural round, the phase of the competition, where our athlete, after a great struggle, was defeated by Hungarian Anna Bondar (81 WTA).

Score 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 for the player from Hungary after the two-hour match.

We will remind, also on Monday, another athlete from Romania, Jacqueline Christian, left the competition. Ranked 143rd in the world, Jacqueline lost (6-0, 6-1) to the third favorite from Melbourne, Jessica Pegula, in just 58 minutes.

Australian Open 2023 will be held from January 16 to 29. The champions of the title were Ashley Barty (now retired from sports) and Rafael Nadal.
