The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, in his address to the nation on Sunday evening, said that the number of people killed as a result of the attack by Russians on a residential building in the city of Dnipro in Ukraine had reached 30. “We will do everything to ensure that sanctions operate on the maximum possible scale. Everyone will be responsible for terror: both those who kill and those who help them,” Zelensky said in his address.

  • “Messages from the Dnipro have been coming in all day today. The fate of more than 30 people who may have been in the building during the rocket attack remains unknown.”
  • “Dozens of people, including six children, were rescued from the rubble. Let’s fight for every person! Rescue operations will continue as long as there is even the slightest chance of saving a life. Currently, the number of dead is 30 people, among them a child – a girl, she was 15 years old. It is reported that two children have lost their parents. Condolences to all those who lost their loved ones…” President Volodymyr Zelenskyi addressed, News.ro reports.

He had a message for Russians who do not seek revenge for crimes committed by their military:

  • “I want to tell everyone in Russia who even now could not utter even a few words of condemnation of this terror. Although I see and know everything… Your cowardly silence, your attempt to “wait” for what will happen, will only end with the same terrorists who will one day come after you. Evil is very sensitive to cowardice. Evil always remembers those who fear it or try to negotiate with it. And when he comes for you, there will be no one to protect you.”

Zelensky announced sanctions against Russians and those who support Russia’s armed offensive.

  • “I think it is correct that today there is a decision to extend sanctions against Russian citizens and other persons who help terror. Almost 200 – this list is carefully prepared, and behind each surname there is a responsible motivation. Those who justify terror. Those who lubricate the Russian propaganda machine. Those who tried to sell Ukraine somewhere in Moscow. This audience will face a whole list of personal limitations. We will do everything to make the sanctions work as widely as possible – in Europe, in the world. Everyone will be responsible for terror: both those who kill and those who help them.”
  • “The work on the sanctions lists is ongoing, the following decisions will be made in the near future,” he added.
