Russia launched a second wave of missiles across Ukraine on Saturday afternoon, sending people into cover as sirens wailed across the country, just hours after early morning airstrikes hit critical infrastructure in Kyiv and the country’s second-largest city, Kharkiv.
According to Ukrainian officials, the Russian attacks targeted Ukrainian energy and strategic infrastructure in Kharkiv (northeast) and Lviv (west) on Saturday.
“There were emergency outages” after two strikes on the infrastructure, said Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleg Synegubov.
In Lviv, the authorities warned of interruptions in water supply and electricity.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy also published on Twitter a photo of the consequences of the Russian attack in the Dnipro:
Eternal memory to all those whose lives were taken by uD83CuDDF7uD83CuDDFA terror! The world must stop evil. Debris clearance in the Dnipro continues. All services are working. We fight for every person, every life. We will find everyone involved in terror. Everyone will bear the responsibility. Maximum. pic.twitter.com/zG4rIF8nzC
