Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Saturday that Russian attacks on civilian targets can be stopped only if Ukraine’s Western partners provide the necessary weapons, Reuters reports.

“What is the need for this? Those weapons that are in the warehouses of our partners and for which our soldiers have been waiting for so long,” Zelenskyy said in a video address at night, after a series of missile attacks on Ukrainian cities by Russia.

“The whole world knows how to stop those who sow death. Thanks to everyone who helps us in this!” he added.

At least five people were killed and 27 others were injured Saturday as a result of a Russian missile attack on a residential building in the city of Dnipro in Ukraine, local authorities said, according to AFP.
