President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in an address to his compatriots on Saturday evening that over 30 Russian missiles had been fired over the territory of Ukraine in a day, more than 20 of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense. Zelensky also said that “Russianism” must be stopped, as the free world stopped Nazism, News.ro reports.

“I will begin this speech without a greeting. And I want to be heard by those people – not only political leaders – who are still hesitating whether this year we should supply Ukraine with the weapons that will help us defeat the terrorist state. Russia launched another missile attack on Ukrainian cities. The targets of the terrorists were Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Ladyzhyn, Burshtyn, Lviv region, Khmelnytskyi and other cities. Civilian targets everywhere! In the city of Dnipro, as a result of this attack by the Russians, a residential building was destroyed. An ordinary nine-story building, of which there are many in various cities of Central and Eastern Europe. All floors of this building – from the second to the ninth – were destroyed by the explosion of a Russian rocket. Dozens of people were rescued – wounded, traumatized, they are being helped. There are also children among them, the youngest girl is three years old. And these are the numbers so far. Task forces will work throughout the night. It is not yet known how many people are under the rubble. “Unfortunately, the number of dead is increasing every hour… Condolences to family and friends,” Zelenskyi said.

The President of Ukraine stated that everything must be done to stop Russism (the combination of the words Russia and fascism is not). “Can Russian terror be stopped? So. Is it possible to do it differently than on the battlefield of Ukraine? Unfortunately, there is no. This can and should be done on our land, in our sky, in our sea. Why is this necessary? From those weapons that are in the warehouses of our partners and that our troops have been waiting for so long. No amount of persuasion or simply the passage of time will stop the terrorists who are methodically killing our people with missiles, drones bought from Iran, their own artillery, tanks and mortars. The whole world knows what can be stopped and how to stop those who sow death. This residential building in Dnipro is located on Naberezhnaya Peremogy street. When this name was given to this street, they had in mind the victory over the Nazis in the Second World War. The Russians took everything from that enemy of the free world. It is obvious. And we must do everything possible to stop Russism, as the free world once stopped Nazism. And I thank everyone who helps us in this!” he said.

Zelenskyi also said that he discussed with the Prime Minister of Great Britain Rishi Sunak some very important things for the defense of Ukraine: “I think that similar decisions will continue to be made by other partners – those who understand why such evil is not done.” you can only give one chance. Thank you to our Air Force, our Airmen and everyone who helps us. Unfortunately, energy infrastructure facilities were also affected. In this sense, the most difficult situation is in Kharkiv Oblast and Kyiv Oblast. Repair crews are doing their best to restore production and power as soon as possible, and work will continue around the clock. And the enemy will certainly get our answer on the battlefield. Our soldiers will do it. All those involved in this and other missile attacks on Ukraine will be found and brought to justice.”
