These documents, dating from the time of Joe Biden’s vice presidency, were found after the arrival of the president’s lawyer Richard Sauber on Thursday evening, according to his statement, according to AFP and Agerpres. The documents are in addition to other files found in that private residence, the existence of which was disclosed by the White House on Thursday, as well as other classified documents discovered last November in the Washington office.

The White House said Thursday that a “small amount of confidential documents” about Joe Biden’s work as vice president (2009-2017) were found Wednesday night at his private residence in Wilmington, stored in the garage and an adjoining room.

On Monday, the US executive has already acknowledged that a dozen such documents were discovered in November at the Penn Biden Center, a Washington think tank that once housed Joe Biden’s office.

A 1978 law requires US presidents and vice presidents to turn over all emails, letters and other work documents to the National Archives.
