“After the massive bombing of Ukraine by Russia, the patrol of the border police discovered this afternoon in the area of ​​the border sector of Larga (Brychen district) the remains of a missile that arose as a result of Russian air attacks on Ukraine,” the Moldovan press reports. Ministry of Internal Affairs, in a press release.

According to the cited source, due to the bombing of Ukraine, the General Inspectorate of the Border Police of the Republic of Moldova implemented an emergency action plan and increased the number of police patrols in the border area with Ukraine, taking into account the airspace and the green strip of the border with Ukraine.

“After spotting the remnants of the suspected missile, immediate measures were taken to secure the area and the 112 rescue team as well as the IGP’s Bombteh team were informed. The prosecutor’s office of Brychan district was also notified. The IGSU and Border Police are securing the perimeter and preparing assistance for Bombteh IGP and Prosecution’s investigative teams,” the statement said.

This is the third case when remnants of missiles from the bombing of Ukraine fall on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. “As in previous cases, all necessary actions are taken in accordance with the procedure by the competent institutions,” – notes the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova.
