Prince Harry has cut several passages from his memoirs, fearing that his father Charles III and his brother William will never “forgive” him for some of the shameful revelations, he said in an interview with The Telegraph published on Friday, quoted by AFP.

“The first version (of the book) was different. It was 800 pages and now it’s only 400. It could have been two books if you put it that way. And the hardest part was getting that material out,” he told The Telegraph newspaper.

“There are things that have happened, especially between me and my brother and to some extent between me and my father, that I don’t want the world to know about. Because I don’t think he will ever forgive me,” he added.

His book is hitting bookstores with a jump start. The youngest son of Charles III does not spare anyone, especially his two years older brother, whom he calls his “best enemy”.

William, portrayed as hot-tempered, is said to have never loved his wife Meghan, who he considered “unmannered and aggressive”, and threw Harry to the ground in a dog bowl during a row in 2019.

In an interview ahead of the book launch in California, where he lives, Harry also explains that he feels responsible for William’s children: George, 9, Charlotte, 7, and Louis, 4.

“I know that out of three children, at least one will be like me, a replacement,” he said. “And it hurts me, it worries me,” he added, admitting that William “made it very clear to her that his children are not my responsibility.”

“It’s not about trying to overthrow the monarchy, it’s about trying to save them from themselves,” he said.

“I know that many people will crucify me for this,” he admitted, but repeated that he hoped for reconciliation.

He also addressed the royal family directly, asking them to apologize to his wife Meghan “because you know what you’ve done”.

“So admit it and we can all move on,” he added.

Buckingham Palace has remained silent following the publication of a book that looks ominous ahead of Charles III’s coronation on May 6.
