The world is in an era of “megathreats” that will significantly affect our future and destabilize the global economy and the way we work and live, says economist Nouriel Roubini, who predicted the subprime crisis and the Great Recession of the 2000s. as well as the Eurozone crisis. “We are moving from a period of relative stability to a period of serious instability, conflict and chaos,” he warns.

In a recently published book, Rubini, nicknamed “Dr. Doom” (he likes to call himself “Dr. Realist”), takes a characteristically pessimistic look at the world today and talks about the dangers of tomorrow and how to prepare for them today — or how we could have done it yesterday.
