Begu, Kirstya, Christian, Bohdan and Sig found out who they will play with in the first round of the Australian Open 2023

  • Iryna Begu (28 WTA and 27 seed) will play against athlete Saisai Zheng (- protected rating).
  • Sorana Kirstea (43 WTA) will meet Yulia Putintseva (Kazakhstan – 51 WTA) in the first round.
  • Jacqueline Christian (143 WTA) will beat Jessica Pegula (third favorite from Melbourne) in the first round.
  • Ana Bohdan’s opponent (61 WTA) will be Anna Bondar from Hungary (79 WTA).
  • Patricia Maria Sieg (790 WTA) will meet Shuai Zhang (seeded 23 – world number 24) in the first round.
