The bill, announced by Marcel Cholaku in December, which would allow the FCSB team to play at the stadium in Gence, was unveiled on Wednesday by President Iohannis.

The new law brings the FCSB closer to Ghencea

In October, PSD president Marcel Çolaku said after a meeting with Gigi Becali that he would do everything possible to allow the Red and Blues to play at the Genca Stadium, which is used by Steaua’s CSA but built with public money.

On Wednesday, the law was promulgated by President Klaus Iohannis and will enter into force after publication in the Official Gazette, writes Prosport.

The first reaction of the CSA Steaua camp after receiving the news

Sevilla captain Stefan Jovan, the current star official, had the first reaction after the law was announced.

“I cannot express my opinion in such situations because I do not know what it is about. I don’t know by what criteria they could play with Gencha. I know if they are in CSA lawsuits they are not actually allowed to play until the lawsuits are over. But I also tell them from reading, from hearing.

Let those who gave permission to play give you the answer. I expected them to pass a law so that Steaua would be eligible for promotion, not FCSB,” Stefan Jovan told AS.ro.

What Marcel Cholak’s law provides

Last month, Marcel Cholaku announced on social media that he had filed an amendment to ease access to the state’s sports facilities.

“I saw that the exaggerated pride of some people can block the use of new sports facilities built by the Romanian state with Romanian money.

In a country where so few children play sports, blocking access to sports infrastructure sabotages the health of our citizens.

That’s why we supported the project, when sports grounds in the school yard can be used outside of school hours.

And that’s why we submitted an amendment to the bill on amendments and additions to the Law on Physical Culture and Sports adopted today to simplify access to the state’s sports facilities for everyone. Until now, due to the bureaucracy, it was almost impossible for anyone to get access, of course, for a fee, to the sports base.

The priority is that everyone who is involved in organized sports – children, juniors, adults – can more easily use the modern sports facility.

And yes, I am glad that this law will put an end to one of the biggest rivalries in Romanian football.

I believe that the time has come when the rivalry in Romania should be understood only in sports terms, and for the teams to be able to share the same stadium without problems. If “Roma” and “Lazio” were able to do it or “Inter” with “Milan”, I am convinced that “Steaua” from FCSB will also be able to do it,” said Marcel Cholaku.
