The Korean taekwondo champion visited the grave of Alexandros Nikolaidis to honor his memory, and in statements made by him on state television, he said:

“Alexander and I had a strong relationship for a long time. He loved Korea as I love Greece. Greece is like a second home to me. I’m very sorry that I’m late. We were close, we had a very strong relationship.”
