Didier Deschamps extended his contract with the French national football team, and Zinedine Zidane waited in vain for the end of the World Cup in Qatar.
The former Real Madrid boss remained unfazed despite being tipped as the favorite to coach the 2018 World Cup champions.
Kylian Mbappe has rushed to the defense of Zinedine Zidane
Immediately after Didier Deschamps extended his contract with the French national team, the president of the Hexagon Football Federation, Noel Le Grae, reacted strongly to Zidane.
“Zidane in the Brazilian national team? I do not care. He can do whatever he wants, whether it’s about the club or the national team. I really don’t care. Was he trying to call me? Of course not. I wouldn’t even answer him!” said the French official.

His words caused a real wave of reactions around the world, and even the Minister of Sports of France wanted to publish a message on Twitter related to the message of Noel Le Graet.
“Le Gre’s statements are disrespectful, they apply to all of us. He is a football and sports legend. The president should not have such a way out. I apologize to Zinedine Zidane.” – this message was published by Amelie Oudea-Castera.
Even Kylian Mbappe was not disappointed and attacked the official at the head of the Federation.
“Zidane is France, such disrespect for a legend like him is unacceptable.” – says the message of the “Paris Saint-Germain” football player on Twitter.

Zinedine Zidane has so far turned down offers from Brazil as well as the United States of America.
In the summer of 2021, the Frenchman was offered by “Paris Saint-Germain” and “Manchester United”, but he refused, wanting to take the position of coach of the French national team.
Deschamps is already the longest-serving coach in French history. He has been preparing the national team since 2012.
