Russian troops turned a maternity hospital in the occupied city of Anthracite, Luhansk region, into a military hospital for Russian troops, the Regional State Administration reported on January 8, Kyiv Independent reports.
“The occupiers managed to establish a material and technical network of hospitals, which has already almost erased civilian medical institutions from the map. Yes, even the maternity hospital in Antrak was closed, and the women there were taken to (occupied) Luhansk,” the administration reported.
It is reported that during the large-scale invasion of Moscow, Russian troops attacked maternity hospitals in several regions of Ukraine. The last such explosion was reported at the end of December. A representative of the President’s Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, said at the time that the bombing of the maternity hospital in the liberated southern Ukrainian city of Kherson “miraculously” did not lead to casualties, adding that two babies had been born there the day before.
