
​Students return to classes on Monday, January 9, schools are required to follow a number of rules in the context of the flu warning.
The Ministry of Health sent an order, which measures are introduced at the level of educational units.
This will continue:
- carrying out daily sorting in school communities;
- informing parents or legal representatives about signs and symptoms of respiratory infections;
- provision of necessary materials for periodic disinfection of hands and surfaces;
- periodic airing of rooms;
- compliance with cough and sneeze etiquette, use of disposable handkerchiefs;
- recommend the use of protective masks for teachers and possibly pupils and students.
Ministry of Education: The recommendation was to focus on prevention
Education Minister Ligia Deka on Friday, during a video conference, called on general school inspectors to support schools to continue the learning process under normal conditions, emphasize prevention and consult with the Ministry of Education in an “exceptional situation” in which an educational unit requests a temporary suspension classes
According to the press release, the Ministry of Education has sent a series of informational materials on measures to prevent the spread of the flu virus on behalf of the National Institute of Public Health.
“The recommendation was to focus on prevention, to be in close contact with the DSP and to take into account their recommendations,” the quoted source said.
At the same time, the Ministry of Education notes, the leadership of units of pre-university education has the following responsibilities:
- dissemination among parents or legal representatives of students/preschoolers/preschoolers of information on recognizing symptoms of flu or other respiratory infections in order to conduct daily epidemiological triage at home before the child enters the community, according to the guide sent by the Ministry of Health;
- carrying out daily sorting in school groups at the beginning of the first hour of each shift;
- provision of necessary materials for periodic disinfection of hands and surfaces;
- carrying out periodic disinfection of educational premises;
- periodic airing of rooms;
- instructing students on proper behavior when coughing or sneezing so as not to spread the flu virus, recommendations on the use of disposable handkerchiefs;
- recommendations for the use of hygienic masks, both for staff and for students/preschoolers;
- informing parents or legal representatives about the need to contact a family doctor in the event of respiratory symptoms to establish therapeutic indications, isolation and conduct any additional examinations.
When is the next holiday?
The next vacation, according to the decision of the school inspectorates of the district and the municipality of Bucharest, is scheduled for February 6-26, 2023.
For the first time, the structure of the new academic year includes five academic modules and five vacations:
Module 1
– courses – from Monday, September 5 to Friday, October 21
– weekend – from Saturday, October 22 to Sunday, October 30;
Module 2
– courses – from Monday, October 31 to Thursday, December 22
– weekend – from Friday, December 23, 2022 to Sunday, January 8, 2023;
Module 3
– courses – from Monday, January 9 to Friday, February 3, respectively Friday, February 10 or Friday, February 17, according to the decision of the school inspectorates of the district/municipality of Bucharest
– holidays – one week, according to the decision of the school inspectorates of the district/municipality of Bucharest, from February 6 to 26;
Module 4
– courses – from Monday 13 February, respectively Monday 20 February or Monday 27 February, according to the decision of the school inspectorates of the district/municipality of Bucharest, until Thursday 6 April
– weekend – from Friday, April 7 to Tuesday, April 18;
Module 5
– classes – from Wednesday, April 19 to Friday, June 16
– weekend – from Saturday, June 17 to Sunday, September 3.
Classes are not held on non-working/official holidays stipulated by legislation and the collective agreement.
The programs “Another School” and “Green Week” will take place from February 27 to June 16, 2023, with an interval of five consecutive working days, the planning of which is decided by the educational unit. The development of two programs is not planned in the same interval of courses.
As an exception, practical classes are organized in classes of secondary education – technological direction, vocational and technical education and after-school education during the periods dedicated to the “Other School” and “Green Week” programs. .
In case of suspension of courses, according to the framework provision on the organization and work of units of pre-university education, measures for the complete completion of the school program by alternative methods established by the administration of the educational unit are not available during the school holidays.
At the same time, in special, justified situations, depending on special local climatic conditions and the specifics of the school, school inspectorates, in agreement with the Ministry of Education, can approve at the request of the school management. educational units, changes in the structure of the academic year established by order.
A request to change the structure of the academic year is submitted after agreement with the representative council of parents.
