Modest M’bami, a former player of the Cameroon national team, died on Saturday at the age of 40, reports l’Equipe.

Modest M’bami, former PSG player, has died

According to the daily newspaper l’Equipe, Modest M’bami suffered a heart attack on Saturday morning, and the Cameroonian could not be saved.

After making 37 appearances and scoring 3 goals for the Cameroon national football team, Modest M’bami began his professional career in Sedan, France.

During his career, M’bami also played for Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, Almeria, Dalian Professional, Changchun Yatai, Al Ittihad, Millonarios and Le Havre.

Among his trophies, Modest M’bami won the French Cup twice with PSG (2004 and 2006) and the Spanish Cup with Al Ittihad in 2013.
