Russian servicemen Serhiy Sozinov, Hlib Pivkin, Russian Air Force Captain Andriy Stepovy and Russian Air Force Lieutenant Yevhen Glukhov are responsible for controlling some of the Iranian kamikaze drones launched to attack Ukraine, according to a joint investigation by Slisdvo.Info. and “Our money Lviv”, Kyiv Independent reports.

It is reported that the four belong to the 294th State Center of Unmanned Aviation of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

They allegedly received training in Iran in the summer of 2022, before Russia received the first batch of Iranian kamikaze drones.

Russia is using Iranian-made kamikaze drones along with missiles to attack critical infrastructure in Ukraine.

Since the beginning of October, these repeated attacks have killed dozens of civilians and caused power outages, as well as interruptions in water and heat supply in several regions of Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced on December 19 that Russia received a new batch of 250 Iranian drones.

The Ukrainian military said Wednesday it had shot down more than 540 Shahed drones and about 500 cruise missiles since last September, CNN reported.
