Aleksandru is a little boy who was born in Toplitz municipality, Harghita county, in 2013. It looks healthy, but examinations in the maternity hospital brought particularly painful and disturbing news to the parents. Their child was diagnosed with kidney problems (bilateral hydronephrosis) and severe neurological problems (partial agenesis of the corpus callosum) with generalized hypotension. At the age of one year, Alexander underwent an MRI of the brain, which revealed the reasons why the little boy did not develop motor and sensorially. Other diagnoses were added to the initial diagnoses: cerebral pachygyria, bilateral congenital cataract… At one and a half years old, Oleksandr underwent eye surgery with bilateral lens implantation.

Since then, Oleksandr needs daily therapy and stimulation in rehabilitation centers. The necessary schedule is becoming more and more stressful, expenses are increasing, and his mother is in despair that she will not be able to provide the child with all the modern conditions of recovery. Alexander also needs more and more powerful devices, and his progress is now minimal…

The costs are very high for the therapy he needs on a daily basis (kinesitherapy, massage, occupational therapy, speech therapy, hydrotherapy, hippotherapy, psychotherapy), daily medication procedures, walking and medical devices (ortheses, orthopedic shoes, glasses, verticalizer, walker, electric bicycle, electric stroller) consultations, examinations, medical tests (diagnoses), diet under strict supervision, personal hygiene products, diapers (dependence on them), and Oleksandr’s life is under threat of degradation and even under threat of life. The mother of a little boy is contacting you, hoping that he will not lose the fight against the serious diseases that Oleksandr suffers from.
