51-year-old American actor Jeremy Renner, known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel universe, was seriously injured while clearing snow, US media reports, AFP reports.

“We can confirm that Jeremy is in critical but stable condition after being involved in a snow removal accident due to bad weather,” a source close to the actor told The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline on Sunday.

“The family is with him and they are taking very good care of him,” he added, without specifying the conditions and place where the accident occurred.

According to some American media, the actor was hospitalized in Reno, Nevada.

Jeremy Renner, nominated for an Academy Award for his roles in Minesweeper and The City, owns property near the city in a region hit by a snowstorm that brought heavy snowfall in recent weeks and left thousands without power. (Agerpress)
